Speed events comprise Sprints and Hillclimbs. On both types of event cars start singly and are timed against the clock over a defined tarmac course. Timing is to one hundreth of a second. The event usually consists of two practice runs over the course and two or more timed runs which count towards the result.
Cars are organised into categories and classes which ensure even competition.There are classes for everything from standard road going cars to single seater racing cars.Cars must be prepared in accordance with Section S of the MSA Competitors and Officials Year Book 2010 (The Blue Book)
